Why Everyonely exists
I'll be honest My version of "making it" was simple: graduate, get a normal job, prove I made it out of the township. That was the whole plan.
But there were no funds to chase anything bigger. so, I took what came teaching English online. And that one job cracked open a door I didn't even know was there: remote work. A whole world I'd never imagined existed.
I'm not going to pretend it was smooth. There were rejections. Mistakes I made because nobody told me better. Retrenchments. I didn't understand how corporate actually works, and I definitely didn't know how to present myself on a stage that big and international. The whole time, I kept wishing someone- anyone was standing beside me showing me the way.
But I kept going. I worked across different companies, internationally customer-facing roles, executive assistant work, then into recruitment, sitting inside the talent pools and seeing how candidates actually get found.
After all that trial and error, I finally clocked it. Bingo. The thing that changes everything isn't another qualification or another application sent into the void.
It's Visibility and Positioning.
